Swedish online gaming software developer Entraction Holding AB has announced that it will be closing its Cardroom2 poker room by the end of the year due to disappointing traffic.
The Solna-based firm stated that Cardroom2 allows its players to participate in games of poker over the International Poker Network (IPN) from Boss Media. However, it revealed that traffic between the networks is ‘not extensive’ and only represented approximately five percent of Entraction’s revenues from poker.
Entraction has terminated its contract with Boss Media and will soon only offer games of poker through its own network.
“Cardroom2 has been a good possibility for players to play in two different networks using one account,” said Peter Astrom, Chief Executive Officer for Entraction.
“Because of the strong growth in the Entraction poker network, there is no longer a need for Cardroom2.”
