Only shortly after the arrival at King.com of Owen O’Donnell, former CFO of Betfair, the skill gaming site has announced the appointment of Matthias Schmidt-Pfitzner as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing (Europe) with immediate effect.

   Matthias Schmidt-Pfitzner has held senior positions in the online industry for more than 10 years and will join King.com’s senior management team to drive growth for European sales and marketing during the next phase of King.com’s rapid expansion.

   Matthias comes to King.com from Yahoo!, where he was Director of Business Development and Distribution Europe for all Yahoo! products. Prior to Yahoo!, Matthias was VP of Sales and Business Development for AltaVista Europe as well as for QXL ricardo plc and AOL Europe.
